We offer a wide variety of lessons for all ages and standards.
Starting with our tiny tots from age 2 upwards who start on the lead rein for half an hour progressing to half an hour in the Beginner lessons gradually going onto the full hour.
Beginner lessons are held in the evenings for adult only and at weekends are mixed adult and children.  You stay in the beginner lesson until you have mastered your rising trot and steering and have cantered.  You then progress to Beginner Minus lessons where you start to learn to ride individually and perfect your canter you then move up to Beginner Plus.
In Beginner Plus you now are reasonably competent in walk, trot and canter and are starting to work without stirrups and go over small fences.  There will be both group exercises and individual.

Moving on to Novice – these lessons are split usually into an hour schooling followed by half hour jumping allowing you to improve both your flatwork skills and your jumping.  The jumping now will be progressing to being able to hire to compete in some of our home shows.

Private Lessons

We offer private lessons for both beginners and advanced both for dressage and for jumping.  These lessons are tailored for your own needs.  Please phone with your requirements – private lessons are not at set times so please phone to arrange.

If coming to us for the first time please pick a lesson that you think is possibly less advanced than you are – this will let us assess you safely as it is not enjoyable or safe for you to be in a lesson that is too advanced.
